from Rep. Stephanie Herseth
Optimistic that Long Delayed Energy Legislation Will Become Law
Herseth said, “This energy bill represents one of the most important economic opportunities for South Dakota in recent memory. Our state’s leaders have worked for years for this victory, and it’s important that we keep working in the coming weeks as the bill is debated in conference.” Herseth has requested a hearing in the House Agriculture Committee to examine the benefits of renewable fuels as part of our energy policy, and has requested that the hearing take place next week, as conferees begin to work on a negotiated agreement to reconcile, among other things, the different RFS numbers. #
