Agriculture On the Agriculture Committee, Rep. Herseth works on behalf of South Dakota’s family farmers and ranchers. She serves on three Subcommittees: Livestock and Horticulture; Conservation, Credit, Rural Development and Research; and General Farm Commodities and Risk Management.

Veterans’ Affairs This Committee focuses on veterans’ health care, disability compensation, VA funding and concurrent receipt, among other issues important to veterans. Rep. Herseth serves as Ranking Member on the Economic Opportunity Subcommittee.

Resources The Resources Committee has jurisdiction over key South Dakota issues including Native American issues, forests, national parks, fisheries and wildlife. Rep. Herseth serves on the Forests and Forest Health Subcommittee.
