Dan Lungren (CA), Chairman

Chairman Dan Lungren returned to Congress in November 2004, representing California’s 3rd Congressional District. Lungren was first elected to Congress in 1978, where he served until 1990. As Chairman of the Subcommittee on Economic Security, Infrastructure Protection, and Cybersecurity, Lungren develops and implements strategies to protect against terrorist attacks, prioritizing risks and investment in critical infrastructure.

From 1991 through 1999, Lungren served as Attorney General of California and was instrumental in reducing crime, helping author California’s “Three Strikes Law” as well as “Megan’s Law.”

In addition to his duties on the Committee on Homeland Security, Rep. Lungren also serves on the House Judiciary and Budget Committees.
