(Milwaukee, WI)— Congresswoman Gwen Moore will be participating in a town hall hosted by the West Allis – West Milwaukee School District Board of Education to discuss federal education issues. The forum will feature a question and answer session, during which Congresswoman Moore will discuss topics such as No Child Left Behind, the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA), Title I funding, school vouchers, and the federal budget cuts that have affected education in recent years.
Superintendent Kurt Wachholz and Board of Education President Darlene Ziemendorf will facilitate the forum, which will be held at 6:00pm on Monday, October 2 at the Educational Administration Center in West Allis. The event is open to the public, and students, educators, parents, and other local citizens are encouraged to attend. Additionally, the event will be taped, broadcast live, and re-broadcast on West Allis - West Milwaukee School District Cable Channel 13.
