Case
will host seven talk stories on Hawai‘i Island July
22-23, and August 5
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Ed
Case (2nd District, Hawai‘i) will resume his
long-running series of Talk Stories on Hawai‘i Island
this weekend in Kapa‘au, Honoka‘a and Captain Cook and
move on to Pahala, Volcano, Pahoa, and Hilo in two
weeks.
“Our nation and world are facing tough issues, and my
past 42 talk stories on Hawai‘i Island have certainly
helped to shape my legislative agenda in Congress by
providing me with the direct feedback from people across
the state,” said Case. “These issues have included
international affairs, ranging from Iraq to North Korea,
and pressing national concerns such as the federal
budget, Social Security, Medicare, education and the
environment.
“My past 161 Talk Stories statewide dating back to early
2003 have reached out directly to thousands in my Second
Congressional District, from our Hawai‘i troops
stationed in Iraq to our most remote rural communities
from Na‘alehu to Hawi. They have been invaluable to my
efforts to provide the best possible representation in
our federal government. And they have been extremely
well received by those I represent since they bring our
federal government to the doorstep of Hawai‘i's
communities.
