REP. ESHOO AND SENATOR BOXER URGE PRESIDENT BUSH TO PUSH STOCK OPTIONS BILL TOWARDS FINAL PASSAGE

In a letter today, U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer and Representative Anna Eshoo (both D-CA) urged President Bush to “actively support and engage in the effort to pass the Stock Option Accounting Reform Act.

Both legislators believe that the President can be the deciding factor in helping move the bill forward in the Senate, where the Republican leadership is showing no interest in placing the bill on the agenda.

The bill passed the House with an overwhelming vote, as Eshoo and Boxer pointed out to Bush in their letter.
