Until the violence stops, the hotline will continue to answer…One Call at a Time. Help is available to callers 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Hotline advocates are available for victims and anyone calling on their behalf to provide crisis intervention, safety planning, information and referrals to agencies in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Assistance is available in English and Spanish with access to more than 140 languages through interpreter services. Harris Poll Proves Many Adults Feel Domestic Violence Is a Serious Problem and Services are Needed for Victims

A recent Harris Poll released June 15 paints a clear picture of the attitudes toward domestic violence in this country, showing that the majority of Americans view this issue to be a serious problem. The poll, conceived and developed by Harris Interactive, was conducted online and surveyed 2,377 adults over the age of 18 between April 11 and 17, 2006.
