PAGE INFORMATION

Currently, sixty-six young men and women are appointed by their Member of Congress to serve as pages in the U.S. House of Representatives.  Serving as a page is a rewarding and challenging opportunity which allows students to learn more about the legislative process first hand.

Pages may be appointed for the summer or the school year, and during that time they reside at the Page Residence Hall in Washington, D.C.  Pages who serve during the school year attend Page School during the morning hours and the workday begins immediately following the last class. The workday extends to at least 5:00 p.m. or until the House adjourns for the day.

To be eligible for the page program, applicants must be 16 years of age at the time their appointment begins, be in their junior year of high school, and have a cummulative grade point average of "B" or better in all major courses to date.  If you would like an application for page appointment, please contact the Page Coordinator at (202) 225-5431.
