| Description: Proper nutrition and physical activity hold great promise in reducing chronic conditions such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease. I believe people must begin taking responsibility for their own health and engage in a healthier lifestyle. We all agree that we need to eat better and exercise, but few of us follow through. In order to encourage folks to improve their health, I cosponsored the Senate resolution to establish the second week of March 2005 as "Extension Living Well Week." |
