| Description: Skyrocketing medical liability premiums force providers to cut back on services, retire early, or abandon their practices altogether. Rural areas are severely impacted as there is often no other provider available to fill in when a doctor closes up shop. The legislation will improve patient access to health care services and medical care by reducing the excessive burden the liability system places on our nation’s health care delivery networks. |
