| Description: Senate Resolutions are non-legislative vehicles by which the U.S. Senate, as a body, can voice its views. Certainly, the devastation brought to Southeast Asia, the Asian sub-continent and Africa by the powerful earthquake and subsequent tsunami warranted an official condolence to the victims and affirmation of support of the American people. The United States has a long tradition of offering assistance to those in their hour of need and this tragic event is no exception. |
