| Description: This bill would advance technologies and projects associated with coal-to-liquid fuel conversion. The legislation includes loan guarantees, investment tax credits, enables facility construction on closed military bases and allows the Defense Department to engage in long-term purchase contracts of coal to liquid fuels. There are more than two centuries worth of coal located right here in the United States. Wyoming currently supplies 36 percent of the nations coal needs. It is in the nations economic and security interest to pursue coal conversion activities. |
