Energy Production, Refining, Infrastructure, Conservation and Efficiency (PRICE) Act

Date Introduced: 05/05/06
Bill Number: S.2755
Description: Addressing our energy problems requires a comprehensive approach. This bill would increase domestic oil production, encourage the development of coal to liquid technologies, expand our infrastructure capacity and establish requirements for improving passenger automobile fuel-economy standards. These measures would increase supply and decrease demand, reducing the price of energy. As a senior member of the Energy & Natural Resources Committee, I am proud to have worked on the Energy Policy Act of 2005 and included many provisions that will benefit Wyoming and the nation in the coming years. That legislation was very comprehensive. The Energy PRICE Act builds upon the successful efforts of that bill to modernize our energy sector.
