The Fourteenth Dalai Lama Congressional Gold Medal Act

Description: This bill would award the Congressional Gold Medal to the 14th Dalai Lama, one of the leading voices in advocating for peace, tolerance, human rights and non-violence throughout the globe. The Dalai Lama has worked diligently for nearly 50 years to increase understanding between the Tibetan and Chinese people. He has also made it his life work to promote harmony and respect among the different religious faiths of the world. There is no international figure more deserving of this award.
