A bill to authorize the Secretary of the Interior to include in the boundaries of the Grand Teton National Park land and interests in land of the GT Park Subdivision

Date Introduced: 03/16/06
Bill Number: S.2403
Description: As the popularity of Grand Teton National Park increases and the populations of Jackson and Teton County continue to grow, open space near our parks continue to be developed. Owners of several lots near Lost Creek, totaling 49.62 acres, have agreed to donate their parcels to become National Park Service (NPS) land in perpetuity. My bill directs the Secretary of Interior to accept the land donation as part of my strategy to preserve the integrity of our national parks. The land is of significant value for both wildlife preservation and scenic beauty. This unique area of Wyoming should be set aside for folks to enjoy.
