Description: As a former Marine, I believe our flag should receive special protection because of what it symbolizes to citizens of the United States. Burning, defacing or trampling the flag sends a negative message to the folks who have given so much, including their lives, in defense of our country. I am a proud cosponsor of Senator Hatch’s Flag Protection Amendment.
