| Description: Senate Resolutions are non-legislative vehicles by which the U.S. Senate, as a body, can voice its views. In these troubled times of war, it is appropriate that we pause on this Veteran's Day to thank and honor those who have worn the nation's uniform. It is because of them that we continue to live in freedom. As a former Marine, I know well the heavy burden placed on our servicemen and women, as well as their families. It takes a special type of individual to put themselves in harm's way for his countryman, and we are very thankful and proud of our American Veterans. |
