Dodd, and Snowe meet with reporters following the passage of their amendment.

Senators Dodd and Snowe (R-ME) won passage of an amendment they offered to the Welfare Reform Authorization bill that will boost child care resources by $6 billion over the next 5 years. This level of funding is necessary to both meet the new work requirements under the Welfare Reform bill and to maintain assistance for the 2 million children currently receiving child care help.
