Representing the 24th Congressional District is a great privilege. In addition to ensuring that our district is properly represented in Washington, I take pride in offering a number of services to help you receive the services you are entitled to from federal agencies. Whether you are a senior having problems with Social Security or a veteran needing assistance with your benefits, my office is available to help.

Trying to resolve a dispute with a federal agency can be time-consuming and frustrating. If you have a problem with a federal agency, my offices in Thousand Oaks and Solvang have a staff of trained caseworkers who will help you cut through the red tape.

Of course, I cannot guarantee a favorable response, but I can contact an agency on your behalf and make sure your problem receives fair and timely consideration.

Here’s how to request assistance. First, you must be a resident of the 24th Congressional District. If you live outside the 24th Congressional District, you should contact your Representative. (Click here to find your Representative.)

Second, the Privacy Act mandates that we have your written consent before a caseworker can obtain facts about you from any federal agency. The best way to initiate action is to write to me, giving me a brief explanation of your problem and ask for my assistance. Be sure to include a case number (if you have one) and any pertinent supporting documents.

These are some of the most common problems that my staff and I can help you solve:

I am not able to offer legal advice or recommend an attorney. I cannot intervene in cases under the jurisdiction of any court. But I will try, when possible, to find an administrative solution within our federal agencies. I look forward to being of assistance to you.
