Internships for college students

My office runs an internship program for college students interested in learning about the operations of a congressional office. In addition to general office support, interns work with constituent services, Capitol tours and research. Interns are also encouraged to attend hearings and lectures that take place in Congress and around Capitol Hill.

Internships are available year round and on a full-time or part-time basis. The program does not provide a wage or stipend. Housing and transportation are the responsibility of interns.

Interested applicants should submit a cover letter and résumé, indicate what dates they would be available and why they wish to intern in a congressional office. A brief phone interview may be necessary as well. Summer months fill particularly quickly and applicants should apply at their earliest convenience.

Send applications for internships to the district office.
