US Congressional SealNEWS ALERT:

Vito Fights Bush Administration's Cuts to New York City's Homeland Security Funding

Vito and Rep Crowley Standing in Front of WTC siteVito has taken the fight over New York City's share of Homeland Security funding right to the White House.  Even before Rep. Crowley joined Vito at Ground Zero to assail the errors in the formula which would cut NY's federal security funding by 40% he sent a letter to President Bush stating the case for New York City.  The letter prompted a call from Josh Bolten, the President's Chief of Staff, who promised to take the Congressman's concerns to the President..  This remains an ongoing fight in which Vito is at the forefront and will not back down in his demand that New York receive the funding it deserves as the Nation's top terrorist target.
