FORD CALLS ON U.N. TO CONDEMN CHAVEZ

  
     
 

Washington, D.C. - Congressman Harold Ford, Jr. today issued the following statement:

"Congress should consider withholding all funding for the United Nations until Secretary General Kofi Annan – who I hold in high regard – issues a forceful condemnation of President Chavez. There is simply no place in the U.N. or any other part of decent society for President Chavez’s name calling yesterday."
