What Your Government Does For You

We are a community. The Second Congressional District is 538,162 people living and working together. We make up many of the neighborhoods that define Philadelphia. We are old and young. We are rich and poor. We come from many lands and cultures. And all of us use government services.

Many people in the District have raised questions about what the government really does for us. For the past few years, we have been barraged with people saying government can't do anything right. Some of us are concerned with taxes. Some of us want services that we or a loved one needs to be better, more available. All of us have questions of what really happens with Federal government services.

Therefore, this report was prepared after Congressman Fattah's first few years in Congress, to present a snapshot of what the federal government does in our community.  Congressman Fattah's office is currently working on a more updated version of the information.
