Youth leadership programs are designed to encourage young people to be socially, conscientious leaders of the future by providing them with the experience, vision and opportunity to lead.

The Close Up Foundation is the nation's largest nonprofit (501(c)(3)), nonpartisan citizenship education organization working to promote responsible and informed participation in the democratic process through a variety of educational programs.

The Congressional Youth Leadership Council is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, civic education organization that provides outstanding high school students nationwide an opportunity to study leadership, citizenship and government in the Nation's Capital.

Since 1968, the flagship Presidential Classroom Scholars Program has given the nation's most promising high school students the opportunity to spend a week in Washington, DC, observing the federal government at work, witnessing the development of public policy and exploring the roles of citizens, lawmakers, experts, associations and businesses in the world's most successful democracy.
