Fort Hood- Like the State of Texas, Fort Hood is big and boasts of being the largest active duty armored post in the United States Armed Services. Fort Hood covers a total of 339-square miles and is the only post in the United States that supports two full armored divisions.
Dublin Texas is the home of the first Dr. Pepper bottling company. Established in 1891, the plant is the oldest continuous bottling plant in America, bottling for over 100 years and still continuing today (2003). This plant still uses pure cane sugar rather than cheaper corn syrup now used by most bottlers, including other Dr Pepper plants.

Tarleton State University, member of The Texas A&M System, provides quality programs of undergraduate, graduate, and non-traditional education. The student body includes representatives from 229 Texas counties, 28 states, and four foreign countries. Stephenville, Texas has been recognized as one of the top 100 best small towns in the nation, and the city and University have been designated one of the safest college towns in Texas and in the nation. The Tarleton Core Curriculum provides a solid liberal arts foundation for all students.
