Background

Jack C. Montgomery was born in and remained a life-long resident of Oklahoma. He served as a First Lieutenant in the United States Army’s 45th Infantry Division during World War II. For his service with the 45th Infantry Division during 1944, Mr. Montgomery received the Medal of Honor for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at risk of life above and beyond the call of duty.
