WASHINGTON, DC-Congressman Tim Holden is pleased to announce that he has been chosen as a recipient of the Fourth "Friend of the National Parks Award" from the National Parks Conservation Association(NPCA). This award recognizes members with pro-park voting records during the 108th Congress.  The award was presented by Tom Kiernan, President of NPCA, on Wednesday, February 2nd in the U.S. Capitol Building.   The purpose of the National Parks Conservation Association is to protect and enhance America's National Park System for present and future generations. The "Friend of the National Parks Award" is based solely on a member's voting record on legislation deemed by National Parks Conservation Association to be significant to national parks.
