Amid rising natural gas prices last fall, Senator Coleman directed his PSI subcommittee to investigate the natural gas market and the effects of high prices on individuals, families and businesses last November. On February 13th, he discussed this investigation as part of a Minnesota field hearing on the issue.

During a PSI field hearing in St. Paul, Senator Coleman heard testimony from a local panel that included two local residents, as well as representatives from locally-based Cargill, Inc. and the University of MN. Each respective panelist described the negative effects rising heating costs have had on their daily lives, business and operations.
