During a recent information session on the new Medicare prescription drug benefit in Bemidji, Senator Coleman listenened to a number of audience questions and concerns over the program.   Coleman has organized three listening sessions on the program in recent months - which have included a number of participants ranging from the Social Security Administration to AARP to local pharmacists - in an effort to help Medicare beneficiaries better under the new drug benefit and listen to their concerns about the program.

On December 14, Senator Norm Coleman met with police officers from various departments throughout Minnesota attending the FBI National Academy. The academy, which lasts eleven weeks, is a professional course of study for U.S. and international law enforcement leaders that serves to improve the administration of justice in police departments and agencies at home and abroad and to raise law enforcement standards, knowledge, and cooperation worldwide.

At the launch of the Hudson Institute’s study on China's growing economy and military power, Senator Norm Coleman discussed his recent trip to Hong Kong. During his three-day trip he conducted meetings with key business leaders and advocates of democracy in the region.

Symbolizing solidarity and the power of democracy,  Senator Norm Coleman today dipped his finger in purple ink in support of the Iraqi people and their third election.

On December 3rd, Senator Coleman hosted his third annual holiday party for Minnesota families with internationally-adopted children that Coleman and his staff have helped successfully adopt.  In the past three years, Coleman has helped bring hundreds of families together through assistance with international adoptions from different countries all over the world.
