On Wednesday, March 23, Senator Coleman visited the University of Minnesota Twin Cities Campus to attend a rally for Comfort for Courage.

Comfort for Courage is a student-led movement at the University of Minnesota, which recognizes the role U.S. service members hold in the defense of our nation and the protection of our shared freedoms. Comfort for Courage is a nonpartisan organization that brings people together through a shared respect for and desires to help our nation’s heroes, many of whom are friends and classmates. Comfort for Courage was started by U of M students Tony Richter and Andy Davis to distribute essentials that many of those serving in the military overseas needed, but did not have access to. It is a non-profit organization that has been organizing drives and packaging the goods for shipment to our troops since November 2004 and regularly sends, on average, 12- pound care packages each month to soldiers stationed in Afghanistan and Iraq.
