Congressman Robert Wexler (D-Florida) serves on the International Relations Committee, its Subcommittee on Asia and the Pacific and its Subcommittee on Europe, where he is Ranking Member.

He also serves on the Judiciary Committee and its Subcommittee on Courts, the Internet and Intellectual Property. In addition to his work on these committees, he co-founded and co-chairs the Congressional Caucus on Intellectual Property Promotion and Piracy Prevention.

First elected to Congress in 1996, Wexler has focused on issues concerning health care, education, national security, economic growth and debt reduction. He has worked to provide low-cost drugs to seniors, improve veterans' health services, build and repair schools, reduce class size, increase funding for low-performing schools, improve gun control legislation, protect intellectual property rights, create a diverse energy supply, strengthen U.S. relationships with international allies and protect air, water and wildlife.

Before his election to Congress, Wexler served seven years in the Florida Senate.
