The Rules Committee has completed the application process for the summer internship period. Please feel free to follow the application guidelines below to apply for the Scholar-Intern Program for the fall 2006 term.
Our Scholar-Intern Program aims to expose students to the political process, while affording the candidate an opportunity to gain experience working for a Congressional committee. Duties our interns are responsible for include filing, assisting senior staff, sorting through mail, preparing for Committee meetings and assembling folders. Interns are also given the opportunity to participate in all lectures and seminars on Capitol Hill. This internship is with the majority staff of the Rules Committee.Interested students should fax or mail a current résumé,
a brief writing sample, two letters of recommendation and the application
