Important Mail Update

Congressional mail operations have been resumed in Washington, D.C., after having been suspended due to the presence of ricin in a Senate office building. During the time of the investigation, no incoming mail was received and no outgoing mail was sent.

Unfortunately, some mail that was sent during the time of the ricin investigation will never be received. If you suspect this is the case with mail that you sent, please re-send it. Also, please note that mail to my office and to other members of the U.S. Congress will continue to be delayed due to mail processes put in place following the discovery of anthrax on Capitol Hill in 2001.

Therefore, I suggest you send your letter or other material to one of my district offices, as mail service to my district offices has not been affected. Here is a list of the district office addresses available to serve you.
