Hoyer Delivers $250,000 to Calvert Historical Society for Linden Restoration Project

Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (D-MD) joined the Calvert Historical Society and local officials to announce the award of $250,000 he secured for the Linden Restoration Project in Calvert County. This funding was included at Congressman Hoyer’s request in the federal Omnibus Appropriations Act passed by the Congress last year.

Hoyer Meets with Maryland Veterans

BOWIE, MD - Congressman Steny Hoyer (D-MD) today joined leaders from the veterans’ community from across the state of Maryland to discuss issues important to veterans, military retirees and their families, particularly the Fiscal Year 2006 Republican federal budget, passed in the House of Representatives last week, which slashes veterans benefits and increases the fees for veterans enrolling in the VA Heath Care system.

Members of the MD Delegation Denounce GOP Cuts to Federal Investments Critical to Maryland

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Maryland Representatives Steny H. Hoyer, Benjamin L. Cardin, Al Wynn, Elijah Cummings, Dutch Ruppersberger and Chris Van Hollen released the following joint statement rejecting the Fiscal Year 2006 House Republican budget, which contains harmful cuts to federal investments in Maryland that the state would be forced to absorb. The House of Representatives passed the Fiscal Year 2006 federal budget today.

Southern Maryland Bases Showcase Capabilities at Capital
