Hoyer Attends Demonstration of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles at St. Inigoes

Congressman Steny Hoyer today attended the third demonstration of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) at the Webster Field Annex of Naval Air Station, Patuxent River, MD. Rep. Hoyer participated in the opening ceremony and gave opening remarks to kick off the demonstration.

Hoyer on HIDTA Program's Effectiveness

Congressman Steny Hoyer (D-MD) joined a bipartisan group of lawmakers from the House and the Senate today to discuss recent findings from the National HIDTA Annual Report on Performance Measures which collectively reject comments made by Drug Czar, John Walters, that the HIDTA Program is “unable to demonstrate results.”

House Committee Moves Forward With Federal Employee Pay Parity

The full House Appropriations Committee included a Federal Employee Pay Parity amendment in the FY 2006 Transportation, Treasury, and Housing and Urban Development bill today. The amendment was offered by Congressman Steny Hoyer (D-MD), and was cosponsored by a bipartisan group of lawmakers, including Reps. Frank Wolf (R-VA), Jim Moran (D-VA), and Tom Davis (R-VA). The amendment provides for a 3.1% pay adjustment for federal civilian employees, including blue collar employees, giving them pay parity with military employees.
