Hoyer Announces $1.25 Million for Housing and Community Development in Southern Maryland

WASHINGTON, DC - Congressman Steny Hoyer (D-MD) announced that significant federal funds for programs that will benefit Southern Maryland were included in the FY 2006 Transportation, Treasury, and Housing and Urban Development, the Judiciary, District of Columbia Appropriations Conference Report, passed today by the House of Representatives. Rep. Hoyer, the only member of the Appropriations Committee from Maryland, took a lead role in securing the funding for these important projects during consideration of the bill.

Hoyer Announces Federal Funds for Chesapeake Bay and Southern Maryland Waterways

Hoyer Secures Funds Vital to Prince George’s County

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Steny Hoyer today announced that the House of Representatives passed the Fiscal Year 2006 Energy and Water Appropriations conference report which included, at the request of Congressman Hoyer, $200,000 to help clean up the Anacostia River. The report also included $156,000 to restore the Paint Branch and $1.1 million to restore the Western Branch of the Patuxent River.
