New Website Unveiled

I am pleased to announce that I have just re-launched my congressional website. The new site can be accessed by going to charlestaylor.house.gov or the previous website address of www.house.gov/charlestaylor. The homepage allows constituents to search bills on Thomas – the Library of Congress’ legislative database – view my most recent press releases, and sign up for Capitol Connection. The new website also has an expanded constituent services section, providing better access to information about receiving help from a federal agency, obtaining a federal grant, flag requests, visiting Washington, DC and much more. A new feature of the website is an issues section that will provide information on a variety of matters before Congress. I hope you will take time to visit the new site and let me know how it can work even better for you.

Join Me on the Immigration Enforcement Letter

For years now, the issue of immigration – both legal and illegal – has been at the forefront of the minds of many in Western North Carolina. Our nation’s history is one rich in the talents and culture brought to our shores by the people of many nations; yet, those who flout our system of immigration today threaten this shared heritage. The lack of enforcement of our borders has put a strain on public resources at every level, and may compromise the very security of our nation. As Congress begins to move forward, at long last, with a debate on comprehensive immigration legislation, I felt compelled to write directly to the President to express my frustration regarding the lack of enforcement of our nation’s immigration laws. I think that it is crucial for Americans to speak up on this issue and let the President know of their views regarding illegal immigration. I therefore invite you to join me in signing this letter to the President, which you can read via the following Internet links:
