SEN. SALAZAR RELEASES EXPANDED LIST OF COLORADO TRANSPORTATION PROJECTS TO RECEIVE MORE THAN $231M IN FEDERAL FUNDS

WASHINGTON, D.C. – United States Senator Ken Salazar released an expanded list of Colorado transportation projects to be funded under the federal transportation reauthorization bill passed today by the Senate by a vote of 91 to 4. Senator Salazar voted for the bill.

“I am pleased that the Senate was able to come together in a bipartisan fashion today and pass this bill that is so important to both Colorado and the Nation,” said Senator Salazar.

Senator Salazar today voted for the following Colorado highway projects totaling more than $231 million:

Under the Transportation Reauthorization bill passed by the Senate today, Colorado will receive a 46.75% increase over the last time the Transportation Authorization bill was reauthorized. That’s the largest percentage increase under this bill and more than any other state. That is $156 million more over the life of the bill than we received under the previous transportation bill - TEA-21.
