SEN. SALAZAR’S STATEMENT ON ID OF FITZSIMONS/ V.A. HOSPITAL SITE WASHINGTON, D.C. – United States Senator Ken Salazar today released this statement following the announcement of a site identification for the new V.A. hospital on the Fitzsimons campus: “I join in celebrating this historic point in time in the identification of a specific location for construction of a new, state-of-the-art Veterans hospital in Colorado. Only a few months ago, it seemed that this historic opportunity had passed us by, but today’s identification of a site on the southeast corner (at Colfax and Potomac) of the Fitzsimons property is a key important first step in realizing the vision for this hospital.
