The internship program in Senator Burr's Washington office consists of two semester-long sessions in the spring and fall, and two six-week sessions during the summer months. During their time in Washington, D.C., interns participate in a wide array of activities ranging from constituent services and conducting U.S. Capitol tours to legislative research. In addition, interns are encouraged to enjoy the many other activities Washington, D.C. offers. Applicants are generally college students from the State of North Carolina.

Internship Opportunities in North Carolina:

Students wishing to intern in a United States Senate office while remaining in North Carolina are encouraged to apply for internships in Senator Burr's offices in Winston-Salem and Wilmington. Dates of internships in these offices are based upon a student's availability.
