The internship program in Senator Burr's Washington office consists of two semester-long sessions in the spring and fall, and two six-week sessions during the summer months. During their time in Washington, D.C., interns participate in a wide array of activities ranging from constituent services and conducting U.S. Capitol tours to legislative research. In addition, interns are encouraged to enjoy the many other activities Washington, D.C. offers. Applicants are generally college students from the State of North Carolina. Dates of internships in these offices are based upon a student's availability.
