Kind Signs Pledge to Support Cancer-Fighting Initiatives

Washington , DC U.S. Rep. Ron Kind (D-WI) joined several cancer survivors and advocates from Wisconsin who assembled on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. for the American Cancer Society’s 2006 “Celebration on the Hill,” a grassroots event celebrating empowering all those affected by cancer to bring their stories to the nation’s capital and advocate for policies that will help in the fight against cancer.

Washington , DC Aiming to take federal farm policy in a new direction by enabling and rewarding more farmers and ranchers to help meet the nation’s energy, health and conservation challenges, Rep. Ron Kind (D-WI) today introduced the first major agriculture bill, the Healthy Farms, Foods & Fuels Act of 2006 (H.R. 6064) introduced prior to next year’s expiration of the current farm bill.
