Illinois Coffee
Have coffee and doughnuts with Senators Dick Durbin and Barack Obama while you visit Washington, DC.
Started in 1985, the Illinois Coffee is a "town hall meeting" for Illinoisans visiting Washington, DC. When the Senate is in session, all Illinoisans and their guests* are welcome to meet with Senators Dick Durbin and Barack Obama each Thursday at 8:30 a.m. While you are present, please take a moment to sign the guest register either prior to or following the meeting. Should you be interested, gallery passes for the Senate and House chambers are also available at the front table in the meeting room. Make sure the Illinois Coffee is a part of your visit to the nation's capital.
* Due to room size and security protocol, groups of 20 or more are asked to call Senator Durbin's Washington, DC. For individuals please call the day before as the rooms are subject to constant change. The office number is (202)224-2152.
