The intern program is designed to provide an opportunity to learn about the legislative branch of government through participation. We encourage interns to balance their time with us so that they are constantly learning both in and out of the office.

We are always accepting applications from interested students. Interns are unpaid and therefore Washington, D.C. interns need to provide their own housing, but we are glad to allow school credit.

Interns are involved in the daily work schedule of our district and Washington, D.C. congressional offices. Responsibilities for interns are varied. Tasks include:

-Phone Duties
-Legislative Research
-Attending Committee Meetings and Seminars
-Answer Mail
-Update Computer Records
-Run Errands and generally help keep the office running smoothly.

Interested candidates should contact Todd Neal in my office at (202) 225-3065.
