I am very proud to be a United States Senator. My father always told me if you worked hard and paid attention to your education, anything was possible. I’m glad I listened to him. Make sure to listen to your parents too!

Maybe you’re wondering what my job is like. As a Senator, I spend my week in Washington working on legislation with other lawmakers and trying to help my constituents in Florida. On the weekends, I go back to Florida and meet with folks around the state and see how I can help them. I want to make sure Florida is a great place for people to live, work, and raise their families.

I love the state of Florida. I think it’s a great place to live – I know you do too.

Please come visit me if you come to Washington. I love to see fellow Floridians in our nation’s capitol. It is a great place to learn about the history of our country and our democracy.
