Our Favorite Baked Beans
1 pound ground beef
1 medium chopped green pepper
1 cup ketchup
1/2 cup BBQ sauce with mushrooms or 1/2 cup hickory flavored BBQ sauce
1 2-pound can pork and beans
1/2 cup light molasses
1/2 cup chopped onion
dash of garlic powder and salt
1/2 cup brown sugar
Brown and drain ground beef. Saute´ green pepper and onion in grease from beef. Add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Tightly cover and bake in a 350° oven for 20 minutes. Uncover and cook for an additional 15 minutes. Serves 8 to 10 people.
