Thank you for your interest in serving as one of my interns in Washington. A Congressional internship gives young people the opportunity to learn about, and become more active in, the legislative process of our government.
Each January, I select a group of students to participate in my office intern program for the following summer. We expect our interns to be from Mississippi or attend a school in our State. In addition, our interns should be at least in their junior year of college or have reached twenty-one years of age.
Please
fill out the application and fax the application, along with your resume and cover letter to my Washington office at (202) 224-2262. In addition, please mail your original application, along with any recommendation letters, to my Washington office. You will be informed when our selections are made.
I wish we could take all of the outstanding young people who apply to our office, but unfortunately we have room for only a small percentage of them. Even so, I greatly appreciate your interest. If you have any questions, please contact Barbara Turner of my staff at (202) 224-6253.
