Issues 2005

Senator Salazar grew up in rural Southern Colorado as a farmer and a rancher and has never forgotten his roots. In his maiden floor speech in the Senate in early 2005, Senator Salazar spoke of his rural background and Washington's priorities for rural America. Since then has worked every day to make sure that rural communities benefit from the economic growth, security upgrades and improvements in education and health care that urban and suburban communities do.
