Boustany: American Legion Hospitals to Receive $33,000 in Funding Announced Today
September 28, 2006

Washington, D.C. - U.S. Representative Charles W. Boustany, Jr. announced today that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded $33,000 to the American Legion Hospital facilities in Crowley and Rayne.  The funding has been provided to help hospitals affected by Hurricane Rita recover from the disaster

“This funding is welcome news for the residents of Acadia Parish who rely on the health-care services that these American Legion facilities provide,” said Boustany.

Funding from this grant will go towards replacement of carpet, floors, windows, and fencing for the American Legion facilities in Crowley and Rayne.  FEMA has already provided funds for emergency generators and lab equipment that the hospital used immediately after Hurricane Rita struck.
