Boustany Statement on Fifth Anniversary of September 11th Terrorist Attacks
September 11, 2006

Washington, D.C.  U.S. Representative Charles W. Boustany, Jr. today joined the American people in observing the fifth anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks.  Boustany released the following statement:

“Today, all Americans remember the 2,973 men, women, and children who died on September 11, 2001.  We remember the heroes who gave their lives so that others may live, and we grieve and pray for those who still mourn the loss of their loved ones.

“While terrorists had been at war with us long before September 11th, the horrific acts of that day inspired in us an unyielding resolve that as long as terrorism threatens the life of even one human being, the United States of America will stand against this evil.

“Today, we affirm this commitment, and we pray for all of our brave men and women in uniform who are fighting the Global War on Terror abroad so that we are protected here at home.  May God bless them, and may God continue to bless the United States of America.”
