Technology, Terrorism, and Government Information: Jurisdiction: (1) Laws related to government information policy, electronic privacy & security of computer information, Freedom of Information Act; (2) Oversight of technology, trade & licensing; (3) Oversight of anti-terrorism enforcement, & policy.
Antitrust, Business Rights, and Competition: Jurisdiction: (1) Antitrust laws, including the Sherman & Clayton Acts; (2) Oversight of antitrust enforcement policies of Justice Department.
Constitution, Federalism, and Property Rights: Jurisdiction: (1) Constitution amendments; (2) Civil rights enforcement; (3) Property rights; (4) Federalism; and (5) Interstate compacts.
Immigration: Jurisdiction: (1) Immigration, refugees, & naturalization; (2) Oversight of the Immigration & Naturalization Service of the Department of Justice, the Office of Unfair Immigration Related Employment Practices, the Executive Office of Immigration review, & the Department of State Bureau of Consular Affairs; (3) private immigration relief bills; and (4) Oversight of international migration & refugee laws & policy.
Youth Violence: Jurisdiction: (1) Youth violence & directly related issues; (2) federal programs under the Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention Act of 1974, as Amended (including the Runanway & Homeless Youth Act), and (3) Oversight of the Office of Justice Programs & Community Oriented Policing Office.
